Manjula has been working with various businesses, most recently as Head of Finance- Sustainability at Tesco. She has been the finance lead in establishing a reporting framework for Tesco’s sustainability strategy and is leading the implementation of the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Disclosures) guidelines.
Manjula was on the UN Global Compact’s Expert Group working on the Principles for Corporate Finance and Investments for contribution to the UN SDGs.
Manjula has recently spoken about TCFD at UNCTAD-ISAR, which is a Standing Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting. She has also spoken at various other forums in the UK, including the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), the Judge Business School (University of Cambridge) and at HSBC’s Sustainability Event.
Prior to her career in Sustainability, she worked as Head of Group External Reporting at Tesco and has held finance roles across various industries in the UK.
A qualified Chartered Accountant, Manjula has an MA in Economics from the University of Cambridge and an MBA (with distinction) from the London Business School. She was also a member of the Standards Advisory Group at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and has worked very closely with the Prince’s Accounting for Sustainability Project (A4S) on various projects.
Bram is a sustainability analyst with a background in environmental economics and policy. He has previously gained experience in the financial sector working with an impact investment fund. At the fund he worked on analysing the financial performances of investment funds, as well as the environmental and social impacts.
Prior to this, he has contributed to a research project at the Free University of Amsterdam. This project was focused on implementing Climate Smart Agriculture for Kenyan farmers. Throughout his previous work experience he has gained skills in data analytics and statistics.
Bram has a MSc in Environmental Economics from UCL and a BSc from Amsterdam University College, in environmental economics and policy.
Adeola is a sustainability consultant with a background in chemical engineering. She has executed and managed projects on different clean energy technologies such as carbon capture and storage and renewables across a range of industries.
In the UK, she worked with Cranfield University, as a prolific researcher, devising sustainable solutions in the control and reduction of emissions. A number of her research discoveries have been presented in esteemed journals and industry events. Prior to this, she worked with the International Energy Agency (IEA) in Paris, a fast-paced organisation reputable for their distinct energy scenarios. At the IEA, she was responsible for the development of a vast technical database used for accessing different information on carbon capture utilisation and storage projects globally. Adeola conducted research and analysed relevant data used for different scenario pathways for the Energy Technology Perspective 2020 publication.
Adeola is a process engineer with a PhD in Energy and Power and a MSc degree in Process Systems Engineering from Cranfield University. She is an associate member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and is enthusiastic about implementing sustainable climate solutions to real-life challenges.
Grace is a sustainability analyst. She has experience in scenario analysis, having completed a project which involved modelling different diffusion pathways for electric vehicles in the UK, based on the implementation of policies used in other countries.
Grace also completed a project investigating the effects of specific demand-side and supply-side policies on overall demand and CO2 emissions. Alongside her studies, Grace volunteered for a non-profit initiative where she was responsible for recruiting a team of talented, climate-aware masters students to develop a synthesis report investigating the climate finance gap to meet the Paris Agreement.
Grace has a strong analytical background having studied Mathematics and Economics for her undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds. She also holds an MSc in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment from UCL and is passionate about using scientific-based methods to tackle climate issues.
